When I was preparing to retire, after 40 years in healthcare Administration, and knowing that I had admired stoneware pottery for years, my husband suggested I get a pottery wheel and learn the craft. That was in 2011 and I am still learning every day.
It has been an exciting, emotionally rewarding adventure, and I am grateful to the customers who appreciate and purchase my work. I specialize in functional mid-fire stoneware cooking and serving pieces.

I am now making coffee mugs and thumb cups for Cornerstone Coffee Company in Eclectic AL, where you can buy them for yourself or for gifts. In addition to craft shows I also sell from my home studio. Call or text at 334-546-0544, or email at fleahoppottery@gmail.com if you'd like to come see what's in the studio.
No, I don't. In order to maintain consistency of product, and ensure my wares are oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe, I use commercial clay and glazes that are food safe.
My online presence is mainly informational. Shipping pottery is highly expensive due to weight and fragility. I can oftentimes deliver locally within the TriCounty area, and as I mentioned above, customers are welcome in my home studio.
